The British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA) is the recognized voice of dentistry in BC, dedicated to serving the interests of its members and promoting oral health for all British Columbians.
BCDA’s mandate is to serve, represent, and advocate for our members – the dentists of BC.
Located in Vancouver, BCDA is governed by an all-dentist Board, comprised of 15 elected and 2 appointed members, supported by Chief Executive Officer, Quinn Mathiesen-Newcomb and 20 full and part-time staff.
BCDA is separate and distinct from the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals. As a regulatory body, the College mandate is to serve the public interest. BCDA’s mandate is to provide programs, services and support for our members. Through collaboration and partnerships, BCDA members also receive advocacy support and practice services provided by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and other dental organizations and suppliers.
BCDA champions dentists’ role as health care professionals through leadership and services that support a strong, unified dental community that serves all British Columbians.
